Address: Terminal Bas Kangar, Jalan Bukit Lagi, Pusat Bandar Kangar, 01000 Kangar, Perlis.
Operating Hours: 7am – 10pm (Daily)

Little ole Perlis serves as a gateway between Thailand and Malaysia. So a counter at Kangar bus station is a must. It may not be furnished with state-of-the-art amenities, but it still fulfills the sole purpose of a bus station.

Although lack of amenities, its strategic location makes up for it; providing easy access to Langkawi island in the west. Just across the road is the KWSP building which – unlike this bus station – has handfuls of bank companies and ATMs.

The MyBas service provides buses that link various parts of Perlis to this terminal. The following are the buses and their routes:

  • T101 – Kangar bus station > KTM Arau
  • T102 / T103 – Kangar bus station > Padang Besar
  • T104 – Kangar bus station > Air Hitam
  • T105 – Kangar bus station > Seberang Kuala Perlis
  • CF109 – Kangar bus station > Kangar bus station (Northern route)

Beyond the terminal premises are many convenient facilities. Among them being hotels, banks, money exchangers, travel agencies and more.

There is also a Friday night market along Jalan Jeti, barely a 3-mins walk away from the terminal. Here you would be able to enjoy fruits, clothes and some scrumptious night market favourites like putu piring, pancakes and many others.

Unfortunately, there are no public buses or train that would grant convenient access to this terminal hence Grab or a taxi would be the likely option.
