Travelling via express bus from Singapore is one of the easiest ways to get to neighbouring country, Malaysia as well as Thailand. It’s affordable and you will get to choose your preferred pick-up and drop-off points easily.

Here’s a list of pick-up points available in Singapore that you can choose at your convenience when you purchase bus tickets from CatchThatBus. All the operators will disembark their passengers at the major bus terminals or any drop-off points you prefer.

CENTRAL

Singapore Bus Pick-up Point #1: Golden Mile Complex

This complex functions more as a pick-up and drop-off point rather than a bus terminal. As for Lavender MRT, walk from the Immigration and Checkpoint authority, through the HDB flats and cross the North Bridge Road and then Beach Road. It will take roughly 5 – 8 minutes walk.

As for bus, travellers are advised to board either bus 100, 961 or 980 in order to arrive at this destination.

Singapore Bus Pick-up Point #2: The Plaza @ Beach Road

The Plaza is a residential and commercial building along Beach Road. It is also strategically located nearby Golden Mile Complex, a shopping mall and a bus pick-up point alike. Transnasional is among the many heavyweights in the bus industry which operate at this location, providing trips from Singapore to destinations such as Kota Bharu, Kuantan and more.

Travellers can access this location with ease through various modes of public transportation in Singapore. Aboard the MRT, travellers have the option of dropping off at either Bugis MRT station or Nicoll Highway MRT station and taking a short walk to The Plaza.

Travellers opting for a bus are advised to board bus numbered 100, 107, 107M, 961, 961C, and 980 as they stop opposite The Plaza itself.

Singapore Bus Pick-up Point #3: Balestier Road

Balestier Road is a stretch with many bus pick-up and drop-off points. Among the stops along Balestier Road is One Dusun Residence, Zhongshan Mall, Giffard Mansions, Hotel 81 Balestier and a number of shophouses.

Through the MRT, travellers can disembark at Novena and walk along either Thompson Road or Irrawaddy Road to Balestier Road.

Buses on the other hand are more convenient considering there are many bus stops on the way. Buses travellers should board are numbered as bus 21, 130, 131, 139, 139M, 145 and 186.

Singapore Bus Pick-up Point #4: Park Royal Hotel @ Kitchener

Park Royal Hotel is situated along Kitchener Road, opposite Serangoon Plaza and Mustafa Centre. This hotel happens to be a pick-up point for numerous bus operators such as Lapan Lapan Travel and Starmart Express, both providing routes across the border to destination such as Melaka and more.

Farrer Park of the North East line, happens to be the closest MRT station. However, travellers would have to walk quite a distance in order to get to Park Royal Hotel.

A preferred mode of public transportation would be by boarding bus numbered 21, 125, 130 and 141. These buses would have a drop-off point along Kitchener Road, specifically after Hillman restaurant.

Singapore Bus Pick-up Point #5: Concorde Shopping Centre @ Outram

Concorde Shopping Centre is situated along Outram Road, opposite of Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium. Golden Coach and Lapan Lapan Travel operates at this location providing trips from here to places like Ipoh, Bidor, Port Dickson and more.

There are no MRT stations nearby Concorde Shopping Centre, hence, travellers would have to board the bus to this location. Buses numbered 1N, 2N, 3N, 4N, 5N, 6N, 51, 64 and 186 should get passengers to this location. These buses will stop in front of Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium, meaning that travellers would have to walk a very short distance to arrive at Concorde Shopping Centre.

Singapore Bus Pick-up Point #6: Blk 809, Kitchener Complex

Block 809 are HDB apartments within Kitchener Complex, situated along French Road. Kitchener Complex stands across V Hotel Lavender, along Jellicoe Road. There are three supermarkets near Block 809, the nearest being at Block 808 and multiple convenient stores just around the corner. Transtar Travel and Billion Stars are among the bus operators that operate at this location.

The nearest MRT station to Block 809 is Lavender station of the East West line. Travellers will then have to walk along Kallang Road, turn left into Horner Road before taking a right into French Road.

Travellers also have the option of taking the bus to Kitchener Complex. They would have to board bus numbered 2, 12, 33, 107, 107M and 133. These buses stop along Kallang Road. Upon disembarking the bus, they would have to cross over to Horne Road and take a left on Jellicoe Road.

Singapore Bus Pick-up Point #6: 200 Jalan Sultan, Textile Center

Textile Center is situated along Jalan Sultan. Aside from just a bus pickup-point, the Textile Center comprises of shopping malls and offices. Textile Center offers a variety of services as well. Among them include, hotel, food centres, schools, hospitals and more.

The closest MRT station to Textile Center is Lavender station of the East West line. Yet, travellers would have to walk quite a distance to get to this location.

A much convenient option would be by bus. The buses that travellers could board are buses 107 and 107M, both stop opposite Textile Center itself.

Singapore Bus Pick-up Point #7: Concorde Hotel @ Orchard

This luxury hotel is located along Singapore’s famous Orchard Road. Among the various bus operators that operate at this hotel include heavyweights such as Luxury Coach Service, providing trips across the border to Melaka, Bukit Bintang and more. This 800,000 square feet hotel also offers  options for dining, retails and entertainment, making it far more than a bus pick-up point.

Concorde Hotel is extremely accessible through the use of various modes of public transportation in Singapore. Travellers can disembark at Somerset of the North South line, walk along Penang Road, take a left into Orchard Road and follow the road down towards Buyong Road. The hotel would be on the left. Another option is to disembark at Dhoby Ghaut, an interchange station of the North South line, Circle line and North East line. Upon exit from this station, travellers would have to walk along Orchard Road. The hotel would be on the right.

EAST

Singapore Bus Pick-up Point #8: Katong V Mall

Katong V Mall is inspired by the Katong’s Peranakan heritage. The mall is filled with a number of retail shops, educational centres, F&B concepts and more. Surrounding it are many residential and commercial areas. MRT would not be a likely option as the nearest station is quite far from the mall. On the contrary, due to the good network of roads, travellers should board bus numbered 10, 10E, 12, 14, 14E, 32, 40 and 47. These buses would stop at the Katong Shopping Centre along East Coast Road. Upon drop-off, travellers would then have to walk along that road and take the first right. The mall would be on the left.

Singapore Bus Pick-up Point #9: City Plaza Geylang

City Plaza is a commercial property with the primary use for light industries, sales and rentals. The building stands 18-floors high with 66 condo units within the location. Surrounding the Plaza are eateries and amenities alike. Starbucks and Cold Storage are among the few famous brands to mention. Golden Coach and Starmart Express are two operators that operate at this location with trips to various areas in Kuala Lumpur, Melaka and more.

Travellers could use the MRT to travel to City Plaza by disembarking at Paya Lebar MRT, however they would have to walk quite a distance to get to their destination.

Boarding a bus would be a wiser option as there are buses which drop-off points are closer to City Plaza relative to Paya Lebar station. Travellers can board bus numbered 30, 40, 43, 134, 135, 197 and 853c as alternatives. These buses drop-off their passengers at CDAC building. Travellers would then have to make their way to Tanjong Katong Road and take a left into Guillemard Road.

Singapore Bus Pick-up Point #10: Tanjong Katong Complex

Tanjong Katong Complex is one of the oldest shopping malls in the country. Built in the year 1983, it still manages to preserve its heritage while keeping up with modern times. It stands out due to its appearance compared to the modern day shopping complexes in Singapore, making it not only a shoppers paradise but a tourist attraction, aside from being a bus pick-up and drop-off point.

KKKL, Starmart and Transtar are among the many heavyweights in the industry that operate at Tanjong Katong Complex, providing trips to various commercialised areas in Malaysia such as Kuala Lumpur and Melaka.

This shopping mall is located near Paya Lebar MRT station, which happen to be an interchange station between the Circle line and the East West line. Upon exit of the MRT station, travellers would have to walk along Paya Lebar Road before turning right into Sims Avenue and finally another right into Geylang. The complex will be on your left.

Another option would be by taking either the 30, 40, 43, 134, 135, 197 and 853c, where the bus would stop in front of the complex itself.

Singapore Bus Pick-up Point #11: Tampines MRT Exit B/D

Tampines MRT station is a part of the efficient public transportation industry in Singapore. Unique enough, Tampines is an elevated and underground interchange MRT station between the East West line and the Downtown line.

Getting access to Tampines is very easy regardless of the mode of public transportation boarded. By MRT, travellers can access this station by embarking from any MRT station on either the Downtown line or the East West line.

As for buses, travellers can choose to board buses with the number 3,15, 21, 27, 168, 2N or NR7. These buses would stop right in front of the MRT station. Express buses on the other hand operate within the terminal itself

WEST

Singapore Bus Pick-up Point #12: Jurong East IMM (Big Box)

This mall is not too far away from Jurong East MRT station, an interchange station between the East West line and the North South line. Upon exit of the MRT station, travellers would have to walk along Jurong Gateway Road, crossing both Boon Lay Way and Jurong East 27 before arriving at IMM.

Travellers also have the option of boarding bus number 52, 105, 188, 188R, 333, 502, 990 and NR5 which would drop-off passengers in front of the mall. Aside from the said buses, bus 188E would drop their passengers opposite of the mall.

Singapore Bus Pick-up Point #13: Resort World Sentosa

Resort World Sentosa is one of Singapore’s hottest tourist attractions. From luxury hotels to the famous Universal Studios, this resort is more than a mere bus pick-up point. Other attractions include famous spas and casinos as well. It has won the Best Integrated Resort for six consecutive times at the TTG Travel Awards, since 2011.

Transtar, Nice Executive Coach and Starmart Express are some of the many operators that operate at this resort, providing routes from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru and more.

Being a famous destination in Singapore, this resort has been made accessible through various modes of public transportations. Through the MRT, passengers would have to get of at HarbourFront, the interchange station of Circle line and North East line. Travellers would then have to take a bus from the Sentosa Gateway to Resort World Sentosa.

Buses that head over to the resort are numbered as RWS8, RWS88, RWS68, 188R, 963R, NR1 and NR6.

Singapore Bus Pick-up Point #14: Boon Lay Place

Boon Lay is located in Jurong West. The name Boon Lay was taken from Chew Boon Lay, a famous businessman in Singapore. Boon Lay Place lies opposite of Boon Lay Shopping Centre situated along Boon Lay Pl. Starmart Express is one of the bus operators operating at Boon Lay Place, providing routes to areas such as Kuala Lumpur, Bidor, Penang and more.

Travellers have the choice of using the MRT and disembarking at Lakeside of the East West line. Even so, they would have to walk some distance before arriving at Boon Lay Place.

Boarding a bus offers a more convenient option. Travellers would have to board bus numbered 99, 240 and 246 which drops-off in front of Boon Lay Shopping Centre. All there is left is to walk along the road heading to Boon Lay Avenue and take the first right.

NORTH

Singapore Bus Pick-up Point #15: Compass Point Taxi Stand

Compass Point Taxi Stand, also known as Sengkang Taxi Stand, is situated along Sengkang E Way. The taxi stand is in front of Compass Point shopping mall, which is home to 180 outlets, catering for people from all walks of life.

Travellers can access this taxi stand easily. With the MRT, travellers would have to get down at the Sengkang an interchange station of the MRT station of North East line and the LRT line.

There are also numerous buses which travel to the said destination. Among them include, 50, 102, 119, 156, 159, 161, 372, NR6 and more. These buses will drop-off their passengers at a bus stop nearby the taxi stand. All there is to do is to walk along Sengkang E Way.

Singapore Bus Pick up Point #16: Woodlands Checkpoint

Woodlands checkpoint is situated as travellers enter Singapore from across the Malaysian border using the Johor – Singapore highway. There are no bus operators that operate at this checkpoint as they tend to drop-off their passengers at terminals and stops located deeper in Singapore.

With the use of the KTM in Malaysia, travellers can access the Woodland Checkpoint by simply disembarking at Woodlands Train checkpoint, which also happens to be the last stop of the KTM train.
